The art of writing Javanese script

"Aja dhumeh" The Javanese script is one of the native scripts of the archipelago used by the Javanese people, although nowadays it is no longer used in daily communication activities because it has been replaced with Latin letters that we know today.

More or less modern Javanese script has been used since the 1500s until the late 19th century to communicate either by the royals or the local community to convey a message or to write a fiber or book containing knowledge for the Javanese people. And this time I tried to make a work of writing art using Javanese script using watercolor paper and watercolor itself. The art of writing is often called typography or calligraphy. It is through this art of writing that I try to express my Javanese writing art. And hopefully this article can add to our insight both about the Javanese script or the art of writing itself.
